Every school day at 9:00 we have a «general training» where we sing Armenian folk songs and dance Armenian folk dances. I am always present in our general classes, and I actively participate in song and dance. I really like Armenian folk dances, of course, the songs are amazing too, but dances are another world for me. I like the power and the energy we are participating in our dances. And of course, it’s very important to learn about your country’s culture which’s Inseparable part is making its folk dances and songs.

One of my favorite Armenian folk dances is <<Alashkert Kochari>>, I like dancing with energy, and getting energy when you’re dancing, I also like those sharp movements in that dance, but my taste in Armenian folk songs is the right opposite. I like the mild sounds, the high notes, but also the feeling of that quiet voice. So my favorite Armenian folk song is Komitas’s <<Hoy Nazan>> and <<Sareri Hovin Mernem>>.
